Prom 2017 is here! Getting your makeup done just how you want it can be stressful and overwhelming. You have to take into consideration the color of your dress, your skin tone, your eye and face shape, what products are right for you, etcetera; however, this does give you the opportunity to experiment and practice before the big night!
General rule of thumb, if you are choosing to wear a darker colored dress, go for a darker more dramatic makeup look and if your dress is on the lighter side, go for a softer look.
Your skin’s undertone is the color underneath the surface. You can have the same skin color as someone, but a different undertone. If you have skin with pink, red, or blue undertones make sure you are using a cool toned concealer, foundation, and contour. If you have skin with yellow undertones, use a warmer toned shade of those products. It’s good to know what eye shape you have as well. This will help you get just the right eyeliner and eyeshadow shape for your eyes.
