    Spring Cleaning

In the springtime, it has become a tradition for some to use the new season to get organized and clean their surroundings. This custom can be useful to start the rest of the year in a positive way. An article in the Washington Post explains that in the 1800s, homes were heated and lit with oil lamps and were lighted with coal. After the winter months this left dirt and grime covering all of the rooms which caused the need for spring cleaning. Spring cleaning has been proven to help increase productivity, reduce stress and help people focus. Of course, cleaning is also a good way to get rid of winter germs.
