Cafe Piccolo has been many Camas residents go-to local coffee shops for several years. The cafe serves as an Italian themed coffee shop that serves coffee, espresso, tea, paninis, pastries and other various menu items.

“I bought the business in 2010 from a lady that started the business as an Italian Wares shop. She then turned into an Italian themed coffee shop in 2008,” Jodi Vaughan, Cafe Piccolo owner said.
Since then, this business has had many changes and proud accomplishments. One of its major improvements was a relocation-in 2015, the cafe was required to leave their old location due to another business taking over their spot.
“We fortunately found a much better location and business has boomed,” Vaughan said.

The new location is an old Camas bus depot. Along with the location change, the business has also had many accomplishments that have been able to keep it alive to this day. Some of their proudest include maintaining a consistent business through COVID as well as multiple awards for Best Customer Service in downtown Camas.
Aside from its acclaimed customer service, the cafe has a wide variety of delicious menu items as well. Some of their most popular include lattes, mochas, chais and breakfast paninis.
Many Camas High School students have also consistently shown support to Cafe Piccolo.
“All of my Cafe Piccolo experiences have been really good and they put in great effort to make sure their customers feel welcome and give them really good quality drinks and food,” CHS junior Nabeeha Ahmed said.
CHS students also enjoy conducting study sessions in the cafe’s comfortable and friendly atmosphere.
“I normally go there for study groups as there’s a nice table area in the back with wifi that accommodates a lot of people. It feels like a place for the community to gather and that’s probably the reason I keep coming back,” Vanessa Martinez, a CHS junior, said.
With the business consistently staying true to its value of providing the best products and service, customers are able to leave with a positive experience every time.
“We love serving the community and consider ourselves the heartbeat of Camas being in the center of downtown,” Vaughan said.
Cafe Piccolo has been and will continue to be a welcoming place with a wide assortment of food and drink for all Camas residents keeping the business alive and booming.
