Through the end of the 2019-2020 school year, The Camasonian staff would like to share CSD staff and students’ “silver linings”, those things that make quarantine life more bearable as the school year winds down.
Camas School Superintendent Dr. Jeff Snell says:
- What has been your silver lining personally during this quarantine time? We’ve been able to spend a lot more time together as a family. We were already preparing to miss our twins, Stephen and Mackenzie, in the fall because they will be off to college, and this time has been really nice for us to be all together. I wish we could be doing all the normal graduation stuff, but we’re still celebrating. 🙂
- What has been your silver lining professionally during quarantine? I’ve been taking a lot of virtual classes. I think it’s important to experience remote learning as a student so that we can create the best experiences for our students. I’ve been challenging myself to take different classes and enjoy learning the content, and also learning more about how to effectively facilitate virtual learning for others.
- What do you miss most about being at CHS? I miss seeing students and staff. Camas High School is such a hub of activity. I really enjoyed all the time I got to spend there in February, getting to know many of you better. The human interaction, exchanging ideas or even just a smile really energizes me. I miss that.
